OUT PUT : is an analog signal ( voltage or current ) which is related to the distance from the sensor and the measuring object.
Variable Capacitance
- The capacitance between two metal plates changes if the distance between them changes.
1) We connect a Capacitor to an Oscillator to convert the capacitance to a voltage.
- The Frequency of the oscillator can be changed by changing the value of the capacitance.
2) We use Frequency Discriminator to convert the changes of frequency into changes in Voltage
